Environmental Impact of Stellar Ejecta on the Habitable Zones around Sun like Stars
This project studies how stellar magnetic activity — including flares, coronal mass ejections, and stellar winds — from Sun-like stars affects conditions in the habitable zone. Using optical interferometry to map stellar surfaces and model the space weather environment around active stars, the research assesses how ejecta events can erode planetary atmospheres and alter the radiation environment for orbiting worlds.
